Marketing & Sales
Today's Niagara Helicopters Limited is almost exclusively a sightseeing operation, augmented by smaller amounts of charter, aerial photography, aerial surveillance and frost flying for Niagara grape growers. This past year, the company flew well over 100,000 passengers on the regular nine-minute, thirty-kilometre ride over Niagara Falls, many of them on group tours from Europe, Asia and South America. By comparison, the previous owners of the company (PanAir Helicopters) flew about 11,000
passengers in 1984. On a busy weekend in September, Niagara Helicopters grosses more than PanAir Helicopters did for the entire year.
In order to accomplish this, our Marketing Department, lead by Marketing Director Aneta Fleming travels to trade shows all over the world to talk with tour operators about the desirability of Niagara Falls as a destination and to promote the company's product. Sales promotional material is available in English, French, German, Japanese, Italian and Spanish--the languages of our major tour customers.
